Voli Pindarici
The term "Pindarici" derives from Pindaro, a Greek poet famous for his irrational poetry, in which I reflect and find inspiration.
Butterflies are the protagonists, even if locked in small spaces in the sky, they represent the possibility of each of us to close in on ourselves, to suddenly take off with a renewed awareness and ready to face a new life.
Butterflies do not live long, which makes us think of the rapidity of the passage of time, pushing us to enjoy every single moment of life and not to wait for the arrival of a perfect moment.

Penelope
"Penelope" is a representation of myself in a distressing wait: the bust is rigid and immobile, the woman puts her hopes in a future she knows nothing about, an indefinite mystery ...
The lower part of the body is detached from the torso, the feet rest on the ground, and one of them, tied to a thread, hints at a slight movement, a shy step. The legs represent independence, the ability to pursue one's dreams and achieve goals. The position of the legs, partly hidden by the long dress, symbolize erotic defense and the fear connected with the instability of some moments of life.
The full moon high in the sky is the symbol of the woman par excellence: it reflects the emotions that leak out from the pain that surrounds her.

Voyageur
Viaggiatori alati
The painting depicts the face of a woman with closed eyes, a double interpretation: immersion in a dream ... or perhaps the rejection of reality.
The woman's hair is tied to form a bird's nest, only one strand is freed in flight towards the Moon, together with a group of small butterflies. These symbolize change and rebirth; and they teach us to take life lightly and to fulfill our deepest desires.
Little sparrows represent the responsibilities of each of us, but also the strength that helps us to go further and further in life.

Perfiloepersegno
The female figure here is immersed in a black backdrop: the darkness that constitutes the unknown.
With her left hand free from the body, the woman is intent on weaving a weave, slowly unraveling a skein that has piled up next to her feet to block any escape. In the meantime, the right hand is bravely preparing to cross the unknown.
Red hair symbolizes passion and hope, the serene gaze represents the lightheartedness of those who do not regret the decisions they have made.
On the frame feathers and butterflies: symbols of lightness and freedom ...

Bio-illogica
The colors are bright, almost aggressive. The painting clearly shows strength, anger and confusion. The head, which seems detached from the body, is in balance as if by magic on a very thin thread from which it seems to slip ... or perhaps go up again.

Methamorphosi 1
The face in the foreground becomes the key to understanding this painting. the woman's face appears torn in several places: it is like a mask beyond which only unfulfilled dreams can be glimpsed.

Methamorphosi 2
The face is devoid of expression, as in someone who is resigned and does not struggle or has lost faith. The sky has the colors of a prison, like the sparrow on the woman's shoulder. The latter holds a thread that marks the limit beyond which it is not possible to go.

Ermenesia
The woman is a representation of myself as the daughter of Ermete Trimegisto (hence the name Ermenesia), whose medieval culture attributes paternity to a series of writings known as "hermetic writings", rich in metaphors and symbolisms.
The name also draws inspiration from the word "hermeticism" by which we mean what is difficult to understand and interpret, something enigmatic, mysterious and sometimes obscure ...
The hair, partly covered by a half crown, partly free, is the symbol of a past and a future that are woven together amiably. Between the locks dreams and desires sail aimlessly ...

Oceano-mare
The subject of the work is naked and defenseless. The sea represents the unknown, the unknown part of us; it almost completely submerges the figure of the woman. Pisces are the symbol of a mystical rebirth, they constitute the spiritual essence that is hidden in each of us.
The paper boat is the emblem of the fragility and delicacy of the woman's personality, and her movement is indicative of a path she is traveling through emotions. The calm waters signify the serenity and peace of this journey into the unknown.
She tries to steer the boat to safer harbors, countered by her innermost thoughts and emotions.

Pannacotta
The woman is hovering on a pedestal, in a dark room (the unconscious) with a checkered floor (good-bad).
On the bottom you can see a painting of the past ("Ocean-sea"), the thread that starts from it surrounds her arm to imprint the bonds and ties with what has been. She is covered by a cloth that reveals her femininity, but also the emptiness that marks her.
The sweets that surround her lead her to wonder what could be missing from her, what her desires are still ... they fill a lack that the woman feels, but that she can't really fill; desserts are a palliative to everyday life and reflect the importance that women attach to small gestures.

Alter Ego
In the painting, the flowering branch of a tree emerges from the breast of the female figure, it represents the woman's character and inner strength.
The tree, therefore, is the projection of itself and of what characterizes it; it is a symbol of growth and regeneration: the woman, like trees, loses her leaves and blooms, and is still regenerating.
She dies and is reborn countless times ...
